Vida Sol e Mar EcoResort is headquarters to the Right Whale Institute. Your choice to take an ocean tour to observe these cetaceans is a valuable contribution to their protection, because 5% of ticket sales are passed on to the institute to fund research and scientific activities.

It includes three days of lectures with biologists, visits and, of course, observation of the mammals, which come to our beaches this time of year to give birth to and care for their calves.

• 1st Tour: 8:00 a.m. embarks from Garopaba, Praia do Porto de Imbituba or Northern or Southern Praia de Itapirubá, depending on where the whales are at the time. Find out exactly where with the tour operator at 7:00 a.m. 5 minute lateness tolerance.

• 2nd Tour: Approximately 11:00 a.m. Depending on conditions.

• 1 hour and 30 minutes is the minimum time. Subject to finding the whales, sea conditions and departing conditions.

• Throwing objects into the water is expressly forbidden. We must respect the whales’ natural environment.

• It is a privilege to get close to and watch these large animals up close, but we should not interfere, stimulate or disturb the whales in their habitat.

• We provide life jackets and special waterproof clothing.

• Children 6 and under are not allowed on the tour.

• Tours may be cancelled due to weather and tidal conditions.

• At least 6 passengers are required for the tour to take place.

• Monday through Friday = R$ 90.00 / person

• Saturdays and Sundays = R$ 140.00 / person
